Default We are beyond broke

this year's federal budget deficit will hit a record $445 billion. dont let this turn into a bush vs. democrats vs. republicans vs. johnny liberal finger pointing event. the damage is done. i dont see a point in further dividing the country with another waste-of-time debate on which party is to blame. we've lost too much time already and IMO need to get off the la-z-boys and fvcking hustle. now how do we, as a nation, go about digging ourselves out of this sh1thole we are in? discuss.

It doesn't in the sense that we wont have collectors knocking on the Whitehorse's door, BUT we are paying interest on that debt, which makes our tax dollars less effective.

Having a small deficit is nominal and is resultant from people investing in the government... What we do have is an out of control spiral from bad leadership and economic decisions.
