Most the things you posted I have seen on every forum I belong to (4wd, import, domestic and photography boards) so I don't think it really ever relates to one model over another.
I have however noticed that the newer someone is to a particular hobby the more verbose they are about the superiority of their brand of choice over another. Maybe we should just call this the "n00b factor" as a general rule.
Welcome to the board btw :wavey:

Here's what I think:
1) My first impression was that you'd come here only perpetuate a largely pointless argument between automotive afficionados. The quotation in your first post seemed to reinforce this perception.
2) I think new users in general would be well served by looking around this site and seeing that we welcome nearly all models and makes on this board. It's the driver's skills and attitude towards others that are most important.
3) I think it's more important that driving enthusiasts focus more on promoting unity than perputating arguments. If you're hear to accomplish the former, then by all means welcome to HAN.

American cars are usually geared towards straight line perfrmance (mustang guys not liking IRS on this cobra's).
imports are able to go fast in a straight, but with a bigger displacement they'd do better.
but imports seem to handle better than american cars (sti VS cobra)
different strokes for different folks, but to me a 4 cylinder turbo should've replaced the v8 years ago.
look at an mr2.
handles great, and can make tons of HP.
just not that many around.
plus honda's are geared more towards economy more than anything else.
but if you have an itr, take that up against a mustang GT you've got similar power on the straight and better handling on the turns.
