Default Blew my power supply

The monstrosity that is my computer, just blew it's power supply. 550 watts, and it'd been whining for a while. I hate this damn computer. Worst part is the power connection for the mother is that big one which has 24 pins. So I can't even swap in another atx power supply from one of my older systems.

Never buy DUAL AMD!

That's one thing I've never had go on me. I've had bad parts in jsut about everything else... but never a power supply. Cheap or good, old or new. They've all worked fine.

i think it's an antec. can't remember.

i just tried 2 more power supplies, one i think was already blown, so that one did nothing.

the other one just sparked and blew up, the second time i tried to power it on. i'm not sure if the other one was bunk or i wound up blowing that one up too.

it'd be odd if my system just started to blow PS out of nowhere. pretty solid (as solid as the POS could be) for the last two years.

grrr. my other choice is an old celeron 266, which i'm letting my neighbor borrow.
