AEM C.A.I. trouble
I'm having trouble installing my brand new AEM Cold Air Intake! It seems to be the right part # and all, however when I fit it in the engine bay, hook it up to the throttle body, it's crooked in the rubber AEM adapter, it's pressing real hard on the a/c lines, and down where the air filter is it's pressing up against the frame of the car! I know that it's not good to have anything resting, alone PRESSING against the a/c lines, and the frame of the car flexes, wouldnt it cause the tubing to rub up against it and wear a hole in it? I know it's supposed to be a tight fit, but is it supposed to be that tight?
das odd. I never put a CAI in an integra but in my prelude it fit great. just had to open up the hole into the wheel well with a grinding stone, but other than that it was a slick install. it's possible you got the wrong one that might be slightly right but for a diffrent car. maybe it's for an older style integra :dunno:
call em up!
call em up!
their products arent as great as they were before. yes...these problems do arise (tight fitting, rubbing, etc) they got big and their quality control got bad.
some of their intakes are packaged damaged at the ends from the factory. they even powdercoat over it and send them out.
