Default costco bikes

i might buy one for the beach. the motiv smoothie. made of alumimum and made in taiwan. this a good or bad bike?

how much do you have to spend? and you wanna ride a bike in the sand? or the paved trails at the beach?

the bike cost 160. I will only ride on paved trails at the beach and maybe the streets. I was going to buy a $80 walmart/kmart/target bike.

for $160...youre not getting much regardless. but i would stay away from those walmart bikes. its probably some 15 year old who put it together h:

i'm not training for the olympics and go after lance armstrong. i'mjust gonna ride at the beach in all my fob splendor

im in the market for one....not exactly the same kinda youre looking. you probably want a cruiser or hybrid type bike...im more into mountain biking.

heres the entry level one im looking at...

I went to a bike shop last week and all their bikes were $200 and up. They had a Trek 820, which the bike guy recommended I get it. I told him lower the price to 180 and I might consider. He said no and I left.

yea...its hard to get a discount on those because they have no problems selling them at that price. :dunno:

if you are just using it for pavement...just get the costco one. h:
