I have ordered from both Cigar International and Thompson and been very pleased with both. I agree, if you mail order, keep it from a reputable company, and put them in a humidor for a couple of days before you smoke them. During shipping/processing/etc. they can sometimes get a bit dry and hard (hot and fast smoke).
I am not familiar with smoke shops in the Racine (or southern Milwaukee) area, but if you ever make it to the west suburbs, I can tell you where to go. Take it easy and have fun!

:werd: You buy a Cuban for the filler, not the wrapper. When you are smoking a J, any wrapper will do (i.e. hollowed out Philly Blunt). The filler is what makes the Cuban so special/good. Seems to me that you just threw some $$ out the window.

I didn't waste, my friend worked at a cigar bar at the time and had cubans up the wazoo and she gave the donor. I'm not one to pass up a perfectly good blunt. if any of you are ever in Boston, Cigar masters is the place to go. great atmosphere and hot servers. if you talk to the right person they will hook you up with a cuban or 2.

I had a pretty good Cohiba the other day, but I don't typically smoke real cigars.
