so i think its time to retire my canon s200
yea, i got my canon s200 digicam on december 26, 2002, and it has served me very well. however, i am looking to upgrade. im liking the looks of the sony dsc-w1. 5.1mp. anyone have any experience with this camera? suggestions? thanks!
rich has one. i was playing with it when he went to the store :rick: some things ive noticed...it has a huge LCD screen in the back, it boots up very fast, and its a small sleek camera. would i pay $500 for it? no.
h: but if i had the extra dough flying around and i needed a pocket camera...it would be it.
not so sure about pic quality though.

no, im not selling the s200. i had a PSP on it from best buy. it just happened to break :rick: so i got my $260 (employee price) back toward the w1. it was $399 so i paid $144. the only thing is that my s200 used CF and the sony of course uses MS. i'll just get one of my friends to pick one up for me. i just got home, gotta charge the batteries. i'll take some shots soon

In all honesty, I'd stick with the Canon line.
It bugs me that Sony forces you to buy their media - which really should be faster IMHO.
When shopping for my camera earlier this year:
I couldn't find a better overall package than the Canon A80.
I'm still very impressed with the flexibility of the camera.
I still think it has the best interface (software and hardware).
The boot time is damned quick.
Despite the lower resolution, the A80 still gets my :bigok:.
Eh, my 2¥.

I've been looking at pictures from my SD110 before it was stolen--i'm very unimpressed with them. Whites mix with greens.
Lines are blurred.
Don't care for Canon at the moment, unless somebody sways me back towards them. I was looking at that same Camera (the sony) actually--thinking I might snatch it up up.
edit: but maybe not--I think 3 months at tar gym is more worth it then the extra $100 I'd have to spend.

i liked the shots i took with my s200 at high res, but my dad's 3.2mp sony always impressed me. im kina pissed that i have to change media, but at least the card reader i got when i bought my canon reads MS and CF.
WiLL: yea, i have a PSP on everything PSP'able from when i worked there. ive gotten 3 new pioneer 8400/8500s so far, not to mention a bunch of car audio and wireless stuff. :bigok:
after watching gothika with robyn the batteries are still charging..
