In Naples Florida, a nice area so I'm told, my friends father was randomly, and brutally attacked and beaten until they thought he was dead. they they threw stones at him and tried to bury the body.

Friend: someone tried to murder my father

Friend: and for a bit there we didn't know if he was going to live

ManInCamo: is he ok?
Friend: i haven't told colonel yet
Friend: but the whole ordeal forced me to be out of work even longer
Friend: so you know what that means
Friend: he is not exactly ok
Friend: but he is alive
Friend: he won't ever be the same
Friend: some skinhead hit him from behind while my dad was riding to work at 5:30 am one morning

Friend: and then brutally beat him until he thought he was dead
Friend: we don't know
Friend: but after he beat him
ManInCamo: the guy get caught?
Friend: he dragged him to a culvert
Friend: and pelted him with rocks
Friend: to try and bury his body
Friend: no
Friend: it was a random act
Friend: so he likely won't get caught
Friend: i am guessing it is gang activity
Friend: if he is a skinhead
Friend: i just want to cry for my dad
Friend: b/c what the guy did to him was outright torture

im in the ft myers area.. naples is a for the most part "richer" area. Sorry to hear about him, hope hes doing good. Hopefully they catch who did it... he'll get whats coming to him no matter what.

She's probably just generalizing with the term. She's still pretty upset/distraught and was just reaching for words. This evidently happened like a month ago or so. I just never heard of it b/c she was busy with all of it.

 

Damn...that's horrible.

A friend of mine's mom got beaten up really bad in the bathroom at the restaurant where she worked a couple of years ago. She's never been the same since, she suffered slight brain trauma and she's all slow and stuff now. They never caught the douchebag, either.
