I never made any statements other than that of being American. I am not from any other country. Since I am not from another country I must judge other countries from their own achievements. Who here will stand up and defend Afghanistan! No one probably. Why not, isn't anyone proud of their deserts and caves... and sand... and rocks. Oh wait its not a great country. Take your own personal feelings about "the motherland" out and look at things for what they are. Maybe everyone comes to America because it is a better country than the rest. Not to say we are superior people and everyone else deserves death. But how many people climb on makeshift rafts to sail the deadly sea to escape America and go to wonderful Cuba. No one. Maybe because that's not a great country. If you are a "Cuban" person sitting on your computer here in good old America can you really have anything to defend that country from... no. It is what it is. If any other country in the world was that great none of us would be in America. If I lived in Ireland I would have to deal with everyone being unemployed, idiots fighting each other because they think their crappy religion is better than the other guys religion, miles and miles of green crap everywhere. I think I'll stay right here where I am, thanks.

well,. I guess worse things could happen.

 

im korean, and i'm proud of what south korea has become from its past. im still waiting for the right time for me to take a break from working and go back for several weeks. is it America? hell no. but does that make it any "less great"? no. i know several good amount of people that would actually go back and live in korea instead of here, just because. is it still considered a 3rd world country? probably... but to me its not, cuz i can do EVERY single thing here in LOS F*CKING ANGELES as i could there.

as far as the phillipines...i personally havent been there, but i have several filipino friends and coworkers. its no f*cking USA there either, but if youre doing well, they all say its a pretty chill place to live.

you say take the "motherland" feelings out and look at things for what they are... i do. but its not my fault your lack of knowledge and outside culture is your hindrance.

 

sadly most Americans think that the US is the best place in the world and that every other place totally sucks. It may be really great, but other countries have survived the tests of thousands of years, and have been thru thick and thin. I just hope the US
survives as long as some of the European and Asian countries.

 

id rather be in england or australia, since i can speak hella good english with my rubber bands.

fourthgenhatch coulda used better wording and db7 coulda not have had such a violent outburst. but then again, i'm a noob, what do i know. plus, i dont think that fourthgen's comments were as bad as some of the ones that have been said about mexicans.

i'd hate to live in s. korea. i'd be on the verge of being suicidal.
