i got my 1987 E30 for $3000. costs me $51 to register and about that much to insure.

And about another $3K to get it safely on the road.

Generally speaking I'd avoid older Honda's like 5th gen Civics and CRX's because there's such a demand, you'll end up paying a premium.

Rezzas: Older Maximas are good cars but I always hear the damn engines knocking like a bastard these days. :dunno:

I still vote old Yotas :woowoo:

:eh: Generally speaking, Nissan is a very reliable brand.

As a whole, Toyota is probably the most reliable, then Honda, then Nissan IMO for the top Japanese brands.

says who? that is what the previous owner spent. I've only spend $450 including $250 for AC compressor installation.

name me a 17 year old car that you wouldn't have to do routine maintenance to keep it safe and drivable?

I care who spent it. I wouldn't have spent that much. I could have gotten the parts for about $300 and done the work myself.
