de-vein shrimp?? is there an easier way of doing this instead of taking forever to do so with a toothpic??

Make a slit where the vein is and then pull it out.

they actually sell de-veiners...ours was a red plastic utensil that you would just stick in the shrimp, lift, and out pop's it's life line

maybe its just that i hate to do it!! its takes to much effort to de-vein 4-5 lbs. of shrimp, not to mention my hands get stunk.
