yeah, I'm pretty sure that the different gear positions where meant to be used in normal driving. I use D3 any time I know I'll be driving below 40. Otherwise overdrive kicks in, and it's obviously rough on the tranny. Plus I know people can hear me going for like three blocks away.

I hate my mom's 99 4runner 4 cylinder automatic with a passion.
Even with the sporty ECT mode on it sucks.

actually my friends can shift pretty damn well, id have to say just as fast as a auto, plus u can keep the rpm's up.

using the excuse as laziness to drive auto only is not acceptable, everyone needs to feel the difference and the differnce is incredible. what happens when u jump into a car thats a standard and you dont know how to drive a stick?

not everyone NEEDS to feel the difference. not everyone is "performace" oriented.

thats probably the only reason why i think everyone should learn to drive a standard.

yea, its good to know for emergency situations. okay...so not everyone is performance oriented, but at least try...for low hp cars like hondas, a stick is almost a must.

If i do the Manual conversion im prolly going to end up swaping the whole engine.
you've GOT to be kidding me if you are even slightly considering either of those, please die now. kthnxbi

in other news...my civic is an auto, and stock as far as anything under the hood goes.. but shes dying. and if you havent seen pics, then tough titty. they're on teh site, search em.

My car is slow...anything faster, even a manual EX i'd have killed myself with by now. trust me. theres no need for me to learn how to drive stick....because i wont be jumping in a car and trying to drive it if it's not an auto.

h: youll never know. god forbid...what if there was an emergency and the only way to get help was by you taking the only car that was miles around and it happens to be a standard. :ekk3:

If you enjoy not having to shift just stick with your auto.
Standard is fun, but when you hurt your left foot by running outside the pool, it becomes really hard to press the clutch
