Download the installer and run it. You can ditch Firefox any time you're unhappy with it. Also, if you're tired of Outlook, get Thunderbird. I like it quite a bit better.
Also, Firefox has popup-blocking built in. I haven't seen a popup in months.

I just got the 0.9 version and no probs with pdf's here. I like this browser, i switched last week after that spam crap scare came out.....mozilla is getting like 300,000 downloads a day since the news first broke.
