Default test pipe?

I just ordered one off of ebay for my CRX.
What sort of gains should I see?

Depends how clogged your old one is. I dyno'ed a an 8 wheel horsepower improvement by gutting a clogged cat.

(then I installed a real race pipe, then a header and test pipe)

doesnt rotary engies produce so much heat that the exhuast usually just detiroiates hella quick?

If you try to use mufflers or resonators not designed for Rotary use, yes. Normal exhaust temps from an N/A Rotary almost max out most aftermarket EGT gauges/Pyrometers. That same heat tends to brake down and clog the cats, along with the oil and extra gas they burn/spit out.

Which the proper parts and no hippie tree-hugger cats (sorry guys, couldn't resist that one,) it's just peachy.
