Was in the Hospital for a few days in ER & ICU
So yea i was. On monday i was with my mom lookin at a house she wants to invest in. Around 8:00 all of a sudden my heart starts beating raelly really fast and i get really dizzy for a few seconds. After a few mintues of it not going a way i tell my mom and she decides to drive me to teh hospital that was just 2 blocks away. They let me right in and take my blood pressure but couldnt get any reading becasue my heart was beating so fast. They put that finger condom thingy and takes the heart rate and it was going at 220-225 beats per minute which is considered: Ventricular tachycardia. I was rushed right in and put on some medication through the IV (i got 2 iv's put in right away) and the med was to drop my heart rate, but she warned if it drops too low then they might have to shock me to get it up to a safe level. Well surely tehy do but i guess i pass out for a few seconds becasue i dont remember it happening. THen tehy manage to stabilize my HR and decide to transfer me to Santa Terasa which is by san jose which is 1 hr away. SO i get there at 2 am and i get setup and they continue to try and stabilze my blood pressure now. ANd end up having to get an artery line going. (3 inch needle into my artery hurts like hell!!) so yea i get poked at all night. Tuesday i see the cardiologiest and he tells me i need to be inplanted with a defribrilator/pacemaker. I said okay cool whatever works. And yea they do that wednesday, simple precedure and im out today at noon. My hand are a bit swallen becasue 2 of the IV's got infected and they are very sore. The incision under my collar bone is about 1.5 inches long and very small, it only took about 1.5 hours to do the whole thing. So yea now i'm on antibiotics, a heart rate pill for life, and vicodin for the pain. IT was a hella've a weekend. Oh and as for the casue they arent sure but i'm pretty sure it relates to my Muscular dsytrophy that affects the muscles and the heart being one of them. but yea i'm a lil drugged up now i'm i'm gonna go. :happysad:

I am sorry to hear you are on the pill for life but I am also glad that you are doing well after all that.
