Default How 2 completely remove spyware from your pc?

I use ad-aware daily but it doesn't completely remove all the spyware which causes new files to return on my pc. My pc is flooded w/ popups (even w/ google toolbar popup blocker). What program will completely wipe out spyware?

I have decided the brick method works best.

Reformat is the only way to do it really and if you have that fukkin start page CZ shit then you may as well just start backing shit up cuz it aint goin nowhere anytime soon.

Make sure that you update Ad-Aware befeore you run the scan.

If you think you have a virus, check out http://housecall.trendmicro.com for a free virus scan.

Spybot S&D works pretty well.
Adaware is good too.
The best defense is to just not download something you don't know (those pop-ups that tell you to authorize download). I also block all my cookies and that helped greatly.

Not true in all cases.

The spyware I have been fighting (ad aware, apybot etc do nothing) loaded itself behind my back as I never accept any kind of installs I did not request. As of now there is no law preventing auto installers from doing this and there have been several articles regarding the high infection of websites that have these thrust upon them. It is becoming epidemic and it is getting harder and harder to find the source files to remove them.

McAffee finds them and does its best but the spyware programs even with updates find nothing in the system.....its as though they are invisible or they lodge themselves in a way that they reinstall themselves.

I have run CWShredder and CCleaner as well and neither clean it off. I have many times cleared out my cookies and temps both through shortcuts and manually.

I am telling you it doesn't work anymore. They have found a way around these things.
