Soda. My dad usually says "Soda Pop"

If I say "coke" I'm specifically refering to the brand name. (I'll say Pepsi before Coke though )

Yeah, but you'd be amazed how many waiters/waitresses out there don't realize that tonic, by itself, is completely non-alcoholic.

Most don't even know what tonic is. It's a huge mess, they'll try to card me 2/3 of the time and will bring me club soda 3/4 of the time. I just want my damn tonic! :happysad:

that's just odd to me, because the only person I know of that ever called it "pop" is my (now 15+ years dead) grandfather. It's just so outdated.

Haha, I was thinking the exact opposite. I first learned about the usage of "pop" when I was a kid and a friend of mine came back from staying with relatives in Ohio. We used to joke about how it was so :ghey:

All those in the southern "Coke counties". Do you or people you know actually call things like 7up and Fanta Coke? :thinking:

now that i think about it, my cousin from texas used to call any brand soda "coke". i thought it was because she was a fob. :exnbp:
