Really, it's 1/2 carat total with the Marquise center stone [solitaire band] and baget wrap [another band]

14K white gold, soddered [sp?] together...

The new custom, at least around here, is one ring for the engagement and the wedding.. This is 2 rings that I opted to stick together up front.. It shines really nice and with 12 bagets and that center stone, makes for looking like a lot of rock...

My g/f is a foreign immigrant from a poor part of town. Diamonds are rarely used outside the US for engagement/wedding rings, only by the high upperclass. A diamond to her is going to be special in and of itself, it is to me. Remember, she's not an american girl who has "expectations" when it comes to this stuff. I know she will die when I pop it out.
