Yeah I work at Sams Club and have been a cashier for over a year now. Its gotten so ridiculously tedious and frustrating at times I feel like quitting. But after tomorrow's 10-6 shift, I am moving to grocery department freezer/cooler. I am sooo psyched! So my work day went very nice and smooth today. I also started on finishing my forklift license so hopefully starting Saturday I will enjoy my job 10X more...

Thought I'd share because my excitment is clear

Whats new with your guys' jobs thats provided a new-found happiness?

 

my new found happiness will occur in 3 weeks when i get my first paycheck h:

 

werd...I hear that. Right now I'm getting about 30 hrs/week. Starting Saturday I'm pulling 37.5/week. Thats a significant amount more $$$ per paycheck. I need it too, I have to payoff my CC's and buy a car to share with joO's over cha...

 

nothing much, working 37.5 hours m-f and take long lunches and leave early sometimes. But i'm shared between the legal and patent department at my job, and i hate all the patent work i have to do. I like the legal contracts and research but i hate the patent filing and manucscripts...oh well only 1 more month to go.

 

yep, good attitude and a smile brings in the tips, lol.

i saw a forklift race a car in the parking lot, HAHAHA.

 

Come on wedley, you need to get a faster car, even though your winning the race, it's a forklift, they go 2.5 mph.

 

My new found happiness is that I may have a job lined up, to start on Oct. 31, 2004. It'll be my first full-time job since June of 2003.. this time in my career line, not some "dead end job" to make some money.

 

sshhh quiet...everyone will know.

 

actually that depends on the forkilfts and if they're governed or not. My friend works Fed-Ex freight and they're forklifts have governors but are definately faster than 2.5 mph. In fact they just recieved 10 new ones without governors yet and they fly...
