Default i'm thinking of getting another tattoo

i saw the same one a while back on a tattoo website (i think bme or whatever). i'm just not sure where to get it :thinking:

1st drawing on the left.

i remembered it b/c i was watching wayne dyer on tv and he had images of it in the background. whether he knows what it means i'm not sure (although i'm pretty sure he does) but i thought it would be a great tat for me.

i'm definetly a geek :happysad:

i wish i understood the complete mathematics behind it, but my geekiness has not reached that level yet (i suck at math)

The link you have actually provides a fairly decent explanation. Its got to do with similar figures. It was key to a lot of ancient architecture and if you look at images from back in the day you can actually see it in play.

I am not sufficiently bored to go into the nuances of the golden rectangle. h: Besides if you can't figure out the math you outta not get it tattooed. Kinda like the guy who got some kanji symbols tattooed thinking it was cool only to realize it said he was a dumbass.

i understand the gist of it, but i wouldn't be able to whip out my calculator and start pulling equations out of my ass. i like it for its ability to show the simplicity yet complexity in nature
