actually, the JBL platinum speakers that comes with the Compaq isn't bad at all. I tested it at office depot and it sounded pretty good for clip ons.

yeah, I might go with the Compaq. just want to know if anyone has first hand experience with Compaq/HP monitors?

my gf's brother has that compaq. he likes it and the speakers are decent.

saw a 19" samsung flat screen, not lcd for 130 at frys after rebate but too bad it was only a one day thing. dot pitch was .20

My curent monitor is a 15" compaq. 8 years old and still works but it gets blurry after a couple hours. I might stick with compaq because it's been very reliable. I heard some Samsung CRT models have a bow issue at the top of the picture.
