The CRX forum gets slow traffic and you dont need to own a CRX to help me with this.

I was driving home and my car started to act weird all of the sudden. I would be driving along at about 40 mph and it would suddenly start to feel sluggish and dragging so I'd give it a little more throttle and it stumbled and still felt funny like the bottom end power was gone. It felt like it kept misfiring. The higher rpm's still felt fine though. So then I gave it like half throttle and the engine light came on. It's been coming on when I did similar things earlier like giving it a lot of throttle at a lower rpm but it has never felt weird until today. I looked at the ECU and it was a steadily blinking red light that blinked once about every 1 1/2 seconds. Can someone help diagnose my problem please.

thanks

does anyone know where the thing this article describes is so I can check the code?
http://www.c-speedracing.com/faq/06.php

I can't find it, if I can get a pic can someone point it out or if someone else has a pic to show where it is that would be helpful because I dont know if I can load pics to my computer right now from my digital camera.

i think on the CRX you don't have to jump pins. yo just look at the flashes when the key is turned on. i could be wrong though.

I keep getting 3 steady flashes over and over with a longer pause in between. So this is Code 3 right? There is no different rate of flashing just the same three over and over with a pause in between. Would the Map sensor malfunctioning be a feasible explanation for the issues I described earlier? What does it do?

a bad MAP sensor would make it act all sorts of funky.. worth a shot

I know a guy with ford probe that does about the same thing... he thinks it's either the mass air flow sensor is gone or a clogged/really old cat.
