before i went to work yesterday i was feeling kind of crappy, like i was sick. so before i went i took a nap and my alarm went off. i was feeling better so i went in and started working around 4 p.m. i was standing there when i started to feel woozy and i started seeing stars. then i woke up on the floor after a crazy ass dream about riding my 4-wheeler. i just layed there and everyone around me was kind of freaking out. it just so happened that when i fell i knocked the bun toaster off a steel cart and it landed on my arm (i work at BK..it sux) and they said i was shaking on the ground. when i woke up there were hamburger buns all over me and my arm was fried. the top layer of skin was peeled over and it was kinda white. for some reason it didnt even hurt, but i was kind of out of it. paramedics came and they asked me questions like whats your name, where do you live, etc. then they proceded by putting a neck brace on me and putting me on a stretcher. i didnt see the need for it as i felt fine. in the emt truck they were bout to put an IV into my arm when my mom came.she stopped them and asked them a bunch of questions and me to of course (shes an ultrasound tech and also works in an ER room, so she knows there procedure) i talked her into signing a waver to let her just take me to the urgent care. so she took me home to get things in order and i felt fine, so i didnt go to get it checked out or anything. i cut off the dead skin and then cleaned the area with anti-septic and covered it up. this morning i went to my doctor to have it checked out. he gave us a perscription for the burn and advised that we go and get me a tetnus shot and have it looked at by someone with more experience with burns. so tomorrow i get to go back to another doctor and have it checked out, not to mention get a tetnus shot (i hate needles) tonight i have to go fill out workmans comp. forms and shit, and i think im gonna give them my 2 weeks notice. my moms boyfriend had asked at his work if they needed someone and they want to meet me. he works at a car dealership so that might be cool, better then BK anyway and probably better pay as well. im lookin forward to it seeing as how BK doesnt seem to be a good idea anymore after my recent mishap.

Damn, that must've been pretty embarassing for you, but you were pretty out of it like you said.

Hope that burn doesn't turn out to leave a scar, that might suck. And how come no one took the toaster off your arm while you were lying there?

 

so did you pretty much faint?? if so you probably aren't eating well or need more vitamins. Dont take this as a flame but also choking the chicken too much causes weakness and could cause you to faint :dunno:

One time I fainted in my friend's kitchen, then when I came to, I just went back to the couch and played video games.

my friend that works there pushed the toaster oven off of me when it happened. the way it looks it shouldnt scar. my doctor said that it was a second degree burn. whats weird is it doesnt hurt at all.....so im not sure what will happen.

sounds like you had a seizure. did they run any tests on you to determine what caused you to faint?
