i've dealt with huge amount of e-mail at my previous job.
it gets to gigs very quickly

How many people was this, and what kind of work were they doing?
As an individual, I have never had to deal w/any PST or other email storage file that big.

Many of the emails were executive of large corporations. E-mails contained everything you could imagine, personal, spam, work, everything. Thousands upon thousands of e-mails, with their attachments.
