Sub/Amp Question... :help:
Ok to start off i know very little about amps.
My question today is, if i have 3 subs in my car, can i use a 4 channel amp ?
Thanks!
Boss "Chaos" 2000 Watt 4-Channel Amplifier
200 Watts x 4 @ 4 OHMS Stereo
500 Watts x 4 @ 2 OHMS Stereo
1000 Watts x 2 Bridged
======================================
12" Audiobahn Subs Subwoofers AW1251T
They have a RMS of 400 watts, and a Max of 800 watts. They are Dual voice coil, and a 4OHM.
Frequency Response: 24Hz - 1kHz
Efficiency: 92.1 dB
Dual 4 Ohm
2 Ohm or 8 Ohm Operation
Will this work ? if not what will i need ?

next time post in the car audio forum to get less whoring.
short answer, yes it will "work".
with 3 DVC 4OHM subs you can wire them as such:
wire each sub in series, then all 3 subs in parallel. that will net you 2.67OHMs. then bridge them to the amp to get ~500/3 watts to each of them.
btw, if you didnt buy the amp and subs yet...that amp sucks, those subs suck h:
edit.......i just reread the specs. i suggest you only use 2 of those subs, and just run them at 2OHM. and leave the other 2 channels for something else.
