I rent a place along with 3 other people, 2 off them have always paid there share of the rent, bills, and are all in all good roommates. The 3rd r/m is a complete douche, he is 2 years older than me and he cannot manage his finances nor can he hold a steady job ( he works at wendy's now), We have been giving him a break by saying he can stay for free until he got a steady job, Well when he got the job at Wendy's he promised to pay the rent and make-up for the month he mooched of off us.. that was 2 months ago. I came back into town the day before last and the 2 good r/m's greeted me and asked me how my trips were blah blah... and they leave me thier share of the rent before going next store to get stoned. The 3rd one came back here later on and he went straight to his room. I went after him and kept him from closing his door.
We had a little conversation.
me:So how is the job going?
him:īts going good, I'm getting more hours
me:That great! I'm glad its working out!
him:Yeah thanks man
me: so I know you got payed last friday, so you have the amount we all agree'd you should pay. (We asked to pay just $100 dollars this month)
him:We see here is the thing(I knew this was coming), I bought a car
me: Okay, so do you have your share?
him: no I dont
me: So you bought a car even though every place you go is within walking distance, and you completly blew off your promise?
him: umm, yeah
me: What the **** is wrong with you?!?!
him: Well Me, Dwight and Nell(the other 2) are going to move out and get our own place, we dont want to live with you anymore.

So I get pissed off. The thing is I have been really bitching him out about getting his life in order and he thinks I am a asshole for it. I wait for the other 2 to get home. They come back and I ask them, they got pissed. They never agree'd to anything with him nor would they want to and were pissed that they would have to shell out more money to cover the rent(But they did). They were really pissed when they found out he spent all his money on a ****ing car( he bought it earlier that day). So they proceed to bitch him out.
For the past days he has not left his room except to go to work or go to the bathroom. He has not talked us since that night.

We agree to stop giving him help and will have him removed from the lease and kick him out.


Cliff notes: I've been helping a guy out by letting him live at my place free of charge. When I asked him to finally start paying his share, he basiclly told me to **** off, and lied about about moving out and taking the other 2 roommates with him. So I am kicking him out.

I already have him off the lease, and the LL is backing me up

 

I have had that kind of roomate....give him the boot.

btw..i hope you made him sign a contract etc..before moving in. my bro has roommates and the contracts says if the rent isn't there by the 1st then he has the right to remove all the stuff from teh room and vacate it.

edit: and rent is 500 a month so thats not chump change either :eek3:

I'm sure you can get some legal action to get all the money he owes you guys back... damn bastid he is. :down:

 

I would never see it, and he cannot get money from anywhere, his mom wont let him live with her, much less talk to her, ditto for his sister, and the loan shark store wont give him money
