My Civic is not long for this world...
I put it up in the air today to do my monthly inspection of it just to check things out for leaks, tire wear, stuff like that. Well, I noticed there is now even more rust on the rear 1/4 panels and I have a hole in my rocker panel along with 2 in each fender plus the inside of the fender is all rotted and nasty. Tie rod boots and the ball joints seem shot or getting there. Basically its going to need some things and I don't feel like replacing them. Its getting so old its just not worth it. I love it dearly but I have decided I'm done doing anything to it. Now I need a daily driver so I figure the perfect daily driver will be a Scion xB since its small but still has lots of space inside and 4 seats, a/c, and all that good stuff. Once I get the Scion I will part the Civic out and literally rip everything from it and just junk its cancer ridden body in a scrap yard. I plan to do this all hopefully by the end of the summer, when I will have some money saved up. It's the end of the era. I think maybe once I'm out of school I will get a 6th gen Civic Hatch and make that my project vehicle since I still want a Honda to fix up but I can't deal with putting so much effort and love into something that is rusting into oblivion. God speed you Civic.

Yeah rust eats up all the good old Japanese cars. I plan to rebuild the Civic in spirit with the 6th gen Civic, white, CF hood, black rims.
