i'm looking to upgrade my memory (SDRAM)... my question is: does the RAM's speed (266Mhz) have to match the motherboard's FSB speed (which is also 266Mhz)?? also, r all PC2100 DDR DIMM memory sticks the same?? any variances in operating speed? thanx.... btw, i sux at PC's h:

you can't use DDR on your SDRAM-compatible computer. I can't remember if you can use faster sticks or not.

hhm.. is DDR DIMM and DDR SDRAM the same?? i thought they were...

no DDR is different the bottom splits into 2, on sdram the bottom splits into 3. You don't have to match the speed of your bus. The fastest you can get on SDRAM is PC133

SDRAM != DDR SDRAM = DDR DIMM

if your computer calls for DDR SDRAM, you need DDR

if you dont know what type of ram you have, download

there's also PC150.

True, but you can only use one or the other, you can't mix. And I have a feeling his doesn't take both.

here's a similiar memory stick.... one is DDR32X64PC2100, one is DDR32X72RPC2100... wat's the difference?? wat does the 64 and 72 represent?
