I resize then select the text tool, enter text then free transform it across the image as needed. Once that is done select the text layer and change the opacity as desired.

I have all this setup as an action so I can do a folder in a few minutes but today I have been doing them by hand.

To show an attachment you have to attach it then open the attachment once it posts and copy the image location and paste it as an IMG.

Action you just open PS then open the actions tab and select "new action" (looks like the multiple page on the bottom of the action bar) and start recording it and stop when done. Play with it and you will figure out what works pretty quickly. Test it on junk files or something that really doesn't matter in case you make an error and trash the original.
