That sucks
Reminds me of that movie Hamburger Hill where they absolutely demolish like 2 of their squads by friendly fire. It's all because of poor communication.

Funny that everyone comments when he is killed but suddenly when it is found to be friendly fire no one has a thing to say:thinking:

What happened to training within our armed forces? With all this technology, shouldn't casaulties do to friendly fire decrease rather than increase...

What is there to say really? Dead is dead, even if our own troops killed him on accident.

There isn't really that much technology with friendly small arms fire. Missiles and guided bombs have improved in this aspect, but only because they can be guided as they're dropped. Bullets really don't care which side you're on.

Agreed.
Although, in my view, it may well make it MORE tragic... though he was bravely doing the duty that he volunteered for, either way.
