Quite possibly the perfect bratwurst
I guess we can call this another entry in the Fatbooty Recipe Series.
I was playing some GT3 with my brother and he said, "we should have brats for dinner." Since I go to school in Wisconsin, I figure I know a thing or two about brats, so I was more than happy to take him along on a shopping trip to get the necessary supplies. Once everything was cooked it was time to eat, and ohhhh lawdy was that some good eatin.
And of course, since I'm so great, here's the recipe.
10 Johnsonville Bratwursts
12 good dark beers (I used Beck's Dark this time)
1 small onion
6 cloves of garlic
olive oil
4 teaspoons mustard powder
salt
fresh ground black pepper
sauerkraut
whole grain spicy mustard
Hot dog-sized potato rolls
Cut up the onion and garlic into big chunks. Heat a big pot (that holds a minimum of 60 ounces with some good room above) on medium-high heat and put in some olive oil. Toss in the onion and garlic and begin to saute. Add a whole lot of salt and fresh ground pepper. Once the garlic and onion are nicely sauteed, pour in 5 bottles of the 1st 6-pack of beer. Drink the 6th while you're cooking. Add the mustard powder and bring to a boil over high heat. Once the beer is boiling, add the brats and cover with a lid. Be sure that before you boil the brats, poke a few holes in em to let the beer get inside. Now go outside and fire up your grill. Boil the brats for about 5-6 minutes until light grey all the way through. Take the pot out to the grill and cook the brats over high heat for about 1-2 minutes on each side. Serve on toasted potato rolls with whole grain spicy mustard and sauerkraut, and of course drink the rest of the beer.

Bratwurst is a German sausage made from pork and veal, seasoned with a bunch of stuff including ginger, nutmeg, coriander and caraway. It's really popular in Wisconsin.
It is not "just a weiner."
