i emailed a professor with a teacher.com address

i got a reply from the dept head (different guy) with a mtsierra.edu address

how did the dept head get the email?

 

maybe the prof forwarded it to the dept head.

its a forwarding service...the email you sent to the @teacher.com email address was probably forwarded to the @mtsierra.edu email address.
