More and more, the electoral college is fading and the votes are really starting to count, as seen in FL in 2000.
The electoral college was established because the government didn't trust your average citizen to cast an intelligent vote. It will not go away because it is written into the US Constitution; it cannot be changed without a constitutional amendment. Although the electoral college delegates usually vote along the lines of each state's popular vote, they are under no obligation to do so, and there have been instances where electors voted against the popular will.

Everybody, this is the first completely coherent and grammatically correct sentence that has ever come out of Smurf/Bobme on HAN.

Take a moment to appreciate it.

I am a fan of the Bush administration and belive that he has done a lot for our nation during one of the hardest times we have faced. He has been able to make our country safer as well as cut taxes which have helped the economy. The economy which was declining from the Clinton Administration.

Kerry is a joke. He cannot help but contradict himself in every interview and speach he gives. I do not trust the man at all. He has these gradios plans of making the country better but has not stated how he plans to do so. All he has stated is that he wants to raise taxes as well as have the gas tax of 50cents per gallon. I don't want to pay $3.00 a gallon for gas and I don't want higher taxes. So I will not be voting for Kerry.

I like McCain. If he were running for president then he might be able to sway my vote. Kerry on the other hand has no chance of that happening. I would vote for Mickey Mouse before I would vote for John Kerry.
