Launch control
The NSX is like the poor man's exotic, and it will always be viewed as such. There are significantly cheaper cars out there that put down better peformance numbers. And for a flagship vehicle, it's almost invisible (how many average people know what an NSX is?)
I doubt that the NSX will incorporate much F1 technology, if any. Honda seems to be advertising itself these days on the basis of its advances in energy systems (ie hybrids and fuel efficiency) than touting its racing heritage.

Manufacturers don't bring launch control over here because of warranty issues, perhaps real and perhaps imagined. Apparently while these companies' European customers can be expected to not use the launch control all the freaking time (and thus not prematurely burn up the clutch), there is little faith placed in us ham-fisted Americans and our ability to excercise restraint.
Wrong. M3 SMG has the LC enabled. as well as burn out mode. There is no warranty issues. BMW recommends that you have the clutch replaced after 50 LC is done in Europe where it launches at 2800rpm or so. In the US it launches at 1800rpm and no such advisory has been posted.
Also ferrari does not have LC in any of their road cars.
Audi TT DSG also does not have LC.

I do know however that LC was actually advertised as a potential feature of the TT DSG in this market but then at the last minute Audi changed their minds.
