Default Operation: Turbocharged Vigor

:loco: I'm beginning the financial preparations now and my goal is to have it done by Spring of 2005.

Already have an excellent machinest who is doing the flanges and exhaust manifold.

Probably will use a T3 turbo, 7-8 pounds of boost, on stock internals (can't get anything else).

Going to need an upgraded clutch, Walboro fuel pump, MSD ignition and going to do an AEM fuel rail as well. That just maxed out every engine mod possible for this car. h: Also going to be running 2.25" piping with a Magnaflow SS muffler which should be on by the 2nd week of June.

It will be intercooled.

The A/C needs to be removed, battery goes in the trunk and one of the heat shields says adios.

Did a compression test a month ago, 190psi across the board. Doesn't burn a drop of oil, new intake manifold gasket, new hoses, rebuilt ICV and just did a major tuneup. Head gaskets on these motors last for well over 200,000 miles unlike the Legends, so I'm not worried about the added stress.

It's not going to be cheap. I take donations through PayPal.

In two weeks I'm going to start piecing it together. :happysad:

Wish me luck.

Undecided as of now but my options are somewhat limited. A lot of this is going to be custom but I have a few guys who are willing to work with me on all fronts, so I'll fill everyone in as I get more of it put together.

I still have a lot of research to do but I'm pretty hellbent on doing this.

2.25"?? Just wait until next year to get your exhaust piping. :ugh:

Nice choice on the muffler though

I'm not big on noise and I figure with a relatively minimum amount of boost, 2.25" should work fine. I have several buddies running that diameter pipe and it sounds nice. But anything and everything is open to being changed up until the point of install.

-You don't need an MSD ignition, stock one will be fine and OEM units have been known to be adequate up to 400hp
-You don't need an AEM fuel rail, fuel delivery won't change much if you swap the stock one out, we're talking just a foot of overbored fuel line then it tapers back to the stock diameter
-I assume at this point you're going to use some type of rising rate regulator to supply the extra fuel since there's no plug n' play unit for your car, unless you want to shell out the big bucks for a DFI, Haltech, blah blah blah. If so, that Walbro will be strained at the high psi the rising rate regulator will demand. I suggest you go with something external.

You mean I won't make 400HP+?

I'm not too familiar with interworkings of turbocharged motors so I'm glad this site is here and I have people who know what the fvck they're talking about.

I'm just supplying the money.

Thanks for your input.

Hell, 350hp is already overkill on the street.
