if the movie is really good (ie, harry potter), i try to go and read the book, fortunatly the HP books are better than the movies, but the movies still rock!

i even got advanced tickets to see the new HP movie this monday, instead of jun 4th, woohoo!

The book of Timeline rocked. The movie based on trailers alone looked like shit.

So I didn't see it because I didn't want the book to be ruined for me.

Usually I end up seeing the movie before the book but in the case of the Harry Potter series I try to just enjoy the movie as a seperate item.
