NH requires front plates, but the state 20 miles away from me (Massachusetts) does not.

 

there are thousands of cars down here like that....but they probably all are waiting for their plates to arrive via snailmail (I waited 7 months cuz the DMV is retarded) and they'll probably have a small square paper in their window.

 

HB31 passed but failed in the state senate. We could be saving 2 million by keeping plate prices the same and dropping back to a single, rear plate. Which means the revenue generated by having something to aim a laser at on the front of your vehicle is higher than 2 million.

Long story short, we're probably always going to have front plates. It makes me sad.

Wrong.

Massachusetts requires a front plate IF you have the red-and-blue-on-white plates ("Spirit of America")..IOW, if you were issued two plates, you must use both of them. If you have the green-on-white plates, you only got one, and that goes in the rear.

 

Yup, i was about to correct him about that too, the green lettered plates were only issued on cars registered before 1992 or something, i have no idea really.

 

I don't know if they really enforce that. I see plenty of red on white Mass plate cars sporting only one plate. :dunno:

 

They sure do. My sister was in an accident about two weeks ago, in which her front plate and its holder came off. She recovered it, and keeps it in the car until the body work is done...but she's already been stopped once for no front plate.
