The return of the Notebook has been authorized under Reference
Number.########## Please note that you are responsible for shipping
the item(s) back to Dell at your own expense. In addition, you
will not receive credit for any shipping charges on the original
invoice.
Make sure to include all materials that came with the original
shipment, including cables, documentation, diskettes, CD's, etc.
Please make certain to pack well the item(s) you are returning.
Use the original packaging or a sturdy box. (For Dellware or
Gigabuys: Do not deface the original package. You will need to
place it inside another box or wrap it with brown paper before
returning it). This will ensure that items arrive in the same
condition you received them. Dell cannot guarantee that credit
will be given for returned items that are damaged because of
improper packaging.
If you are returning a printer, DO NOT ship the printer with
the opened ink cartridge still attached to the printer. An open
cartridge could cause irreparable damage to the printer and you
will not be given credit for the return
It is very important to make sure and write CRA######## the
return shipping label. When the item is received at Dell, this
is the number our staff looks for. They then post notes under
this return number as to whether all items were received or not.
Once ALL authorized return items are marked received in our database,
then the credit process begins.
As a mail-order merchant, Dell is given 30 days from date of
receipt of merchandise to process your credit. Dell operates
within those guidelines to credit your account. The only thing
that could delay credit further is non-receipt of one of the
authorized return item. Please notify us immediately if you
decide to keep all or part of the items scheduled for return,
as this will delay credit.
You will need to use a traceable carrier (i.e. UPS, FedEx, Airborne)
for the return shipment. Be certain to ask the carrier for all
your tracking numbers for all the boxes. Keep them on file for
at least a year. Should any part of the order be lost in transit,
the tracking numbers are the only means of tracing your return.
You may also wish to insure this product with the shipper, as
if it is lost, you will have to file a claim with the shipper
for credit. Dell is not responsible if the shipper loses this
item.
Thats my email from them.
