Default Tech Question :oh:

Only seems to happen in 1st gear. Shifting from 1-2, put the clutch to the floor to shift and it doesn't disengage. It holds the revs for 2-3 seconds, dropping 100-200RPMs, then completely disengages at around 1700RPM. If I shift above 3000RPM this does not happen. Also, if I only disengage the clutch to right after the point of disengagement, and not to the floor, this does not occur.

I was originally thinking pressure plate in the clutch, but that'd affect all gears, not just 1-2, and the rest are fine seemingly fine. It goes into gear without any problems once it disengages.

Clutch fluid level is normal and there's no apparent leaking from the slave or master cylinders.

Several technicians I have talked to possibly think there might be a burr in the transmission or something. :wtc:

Any suggestions what else it could be?

I am going to restate my guess as being possibly the pressure plate.

But wouldn't it give me trouble in all gears, and not just shifting from 1-2?

Yeah now that you mention it, it would do it in all gears.

No need to be rude about it man. Just cause it ain't the simplest car to work on doesn't mean you gotta bash it all time. There's a line between joking about it and being insulting.

Wasn't bashing really but you seem to have a lot of problems with it constantly so that earns the POS tag

Nothing personal meant by it.

Is the clutch an adjustable cable or hydrolock (never worked on a Vigor). May just need slightly adjusted to full disengage first. I'd also recommend fresh MTF as well. I had trouble getting my coupe into 1st and 2nd, especically when cold and fresh fluid help smooth it out.
