So I go surfing around the web today just to kill a little time and I got hit hard

My laptop is running at 100% CPU useage constantly and won't let me open up any applications at all. Guess its time for a new drive since Ithink this one is as infected as it can get....god this pisses me off:mad McAffee didn't catch it, AdAware did nothing, neither did any of the other protection I have in my comp.......FUKK YOU YOU FUKKIN VIRUS CREATORS

Won't work if I can't open anything up at all. I can't even get the most basic functions to operate. I get to the desktop then it is locked up and in Safe Mode it does the same thing. They really screwed me on this one.

 

how bout open task manager and end everything you dont need to deal with this

Amazingly enough it wasn't a porn site that did this to me, I was actually searching for photography portfolios when it happened. Seems a lot of sites have become infected with autoloaders anymore and it really sucks

 

last week my gf was checking her mail from mail.com on my comp and picked up ncase - spyware/adware
i spent the better part of 2 nites taking care of it
then she got it on her own comp
turns out someone got into the mail.com server and planted ncase or something :doh:

anyhow theres not much i can do for you until i get home

Ya know for all your so called computer knowledge you really aren't much help at all in these types of threads so just keep your asinine comments to yourself.

Its not like I am not having enough problems without having to read your stupid ass BS comments too.

 

zonealarm is always blocking intrusions on our comps... it blocked 3 the moment i installed it on my new laptop.. the moment after i got my wireless card drivers installed and connected to the net...

 

All fixed finally.

After a bit of work I got McAffee to work in safe mode and scanned through all my files and came up with one single virus file. I followed that up with Adaware which found 24 files (one file more than in regular boot). Then I ran CWShredder and it cleaned out a file called SearchX.

So finally my laptop and my browser are 100% back under my control.
