On tuesday I was working with a guy and he filled up at this chevron and 91 was 2.40 a gallon I went back 2 hours later and it was 2.45 a gallon WTF. Anyways I was in San Francisco last night and saw chevron gas prices as follows

87= 2.37
89= 2.47
91= 2.57

That is just crazy it cost me 31.00 bucks to fill up my accord the other day GOD DAMN IT I WANT TO MOVE OUT OF CALI

I never really saw why gas prices were so much different out in the west coast vs out here in the east coast... i mean i can understand a few cents difference, but 30-40 cents? Why is that?

I pay like 35 to fill up my gas tank on my trunk when I'm on empty. It blows.

I read it a few days ago in the mercury news that prices were going up 10-15 cents over night, beeches! I dont even get to drive my AMG anymore, I filled it last week when it was still semi lo....$40.00!! now I'm worried to fill it up so all I drive it the Teggy now. Shell gas prices within 2.5 miles radius $2.15 to $2.39 for 87.

Any state government could set its fuel tax to achieve a target level. When prices go up, the tax decreased, and when market prices decrease, the tax-per-unit could increase. Bingo... targeting.

Due to supply and demand differences across states, this should be done at the state, not the Federal, level.

Hooked on Federalism worx for j00.
