So when it finds items you select them and thn select "fix"

Correct? I hate it when different compnies use different descriptions to say delete and clean

Ok I scanned and I cleaned but it still won't give me cntrol of my homepage back and I am really getting pissed about it

Try the CWS shredder program to unlock your homepage... run a search on google for it.

yeah man, I didn't have control of my homepage for about a week or so, but after running ad aware and spybot, it's business as usual. I've also enabled the firewall in xp so hopefully these "issues" will be few and far between

I ran spybot, Adaware and a couple others but it wasn't returning control of the homepage to me and it was really bogging down my comp, I even ran McAffee and it passed right by the files that were causing the problem.

I can not stress enought the importance of watching what you download. Do not download just anything that looks fun or novel. Keep your Anti-virus/Spy-ware programs up to date and your firewalls on.

Yeah I am pretty safe about my DLs....its those freakin auto load programs that force themselves into your system that get me once in a while.

I haven't had hardly any viruses, and my spyware scanners are always up to date...but they are not 100% effective as you can see from my posts
