may 23rd is teh wack date for a meet :sad:

 

so the meet will be on a sunday, where the location of the meet? if were throwing a bbq. we will need make a list of who every bring the supplies, i can bring a few case of soda.

 

Not to be abrasive and blunt, but...you had your opportunity to object.

In the ideation thrend, when it became clear that people couldn't make a Saturday meet this month, we collectively agreed on the 23rd, a Sunday.

That date is pretty much set in stone, nuclear armageddon notwithstanding.
When we make our reservations at SpeedRing, it will be permanently cast in concrete.

I'm sorry that you can't make that date work for your schedule.
Had you raised the objection then, we'd take it into consideration.h:

and who is going to be handling the reservations for speedring? i can give them a call when they open today and see how many spaces are left and at what time, and how making the reservation is going to work. we can either do what Rich did the other time, when all the members paid Rich in advance and then he reserved everything with his credit card, or im going to see if we can individually call in and reserve our own space.

as for location for the BBQ and the route there.....dave and rich are going to handle that....

i'm getting another job this summer that wont have me working on the weekends, so i'll probably be down for meets then.

 

i dont mind doing the speedring reservation again

hopefully they changed their policy of requiring us to pay up front to reserve our slots

speedring FYI

i just called speedring about an open practice race ($20 each). they can't book this far in advance...i can book it a week from now.

we can have 14 people on the track at once. an open practice race consists of:
the sessions run anytime from 1:15pm to 3:00pm. i can reserve the 14 spots with my credit card, and I'm allowed to cancel any spots up to 24hrs in advance. if somebody says they're going but flakes at the last minute, i will get charged, and i will use unneccessary force to get my $$$ back :chuckles:
