Grifter--
When you relax, your Autonomic Nervous System goes into what's called Parasympathetic mode..which is when some serious digestion takes place(as well as other things)...(if you pay attention, the next time you lay down, you'll hear your stomach start to growl)...it's when the acids, mucous, all the juices that help break down your food are working at their fullest potential. It could be working too hard in your case, releasing too much acid or something of the sort..and/or your stomach lining is weak, causing the pain that you feel.

Thats my thoughts on it just from the knowledge that i have....If it's a serious problem for you and you arent sure if it's related to your existing condition, you should see your doctor.

Good Luck..hope you feel better soon

unless you're a doctor, and you've done tests or looked for the signs of Acid Reflux..you can't say "You have acid reflux"...its kind of illegal. Its out of your "scope of practice". If he would listen to you, and assume thats whats wrong and try to treat it according to what you said, then somehow got more sick or hurt himself somehow, you could be suied.

you have to watch how you word things..if YOU think thats whats wrong with him, you can say "it sounds like acid reflux"...but to say "its acid reflux" is ignorant on your part.

im told i was born with excess gastric acid
over the years i would get stomach pains and not know what they really were
then it got in the way of work so i went to see a dr (97)
they told me i had acid reflux and prescribed me prevacid
everything was fine and it would come back every once in a while but i would eat alot healthier until it passed
then early this year it came back worse than ever and i went to see another dr and he told me i have gastritis or the beginning stages of an ulcer
i would eat about 2 large meals a day and the last one i would eat late at nite
so the dr prescribed me something for gastritis and told me not to eat before bed - i would assume 3 hrs or so, which is what i have been doing - and eat smaller meals during the day
i took the medication and the very next day i felt completely better
and now im watching my eating habits :wiggle:
still need to stop smoking tho
