Last night I went out with a female accquaintance of mine from work. At the bar, we ran into our boss who was completely off his ass. He's 23 and we're 21 so it's not uncommon to bump into him on occasion. Anyway we did a little bit of hanging out with him and were going to adjourn for other activities, when she told him that we were headed towards an afterbar at her apartment. We then left him at the bar and figured that would be the last we would see of our boss since he was so drunk.

By the time we finally made it to my friend's apartment (we uh, walked slow... :naughty:), our boss was already there, and convinced that my friend wanted to hook up with him. This was clearly not the case as already demonstrated by her hooking up with me that evening. In general he was just acting like a drunk asshole and everyone in the apartment wanted him to leave. My friend and I even flat out told him that WE were hooking up and he was like, "well what's that supposed to mean?!" He just wasn't having it.

On top of all of this, one of my friend's roommates was crying in her room about something or other so even if I got rid of my boss I wasn't getting any more attention for the evening. After like 45 minutes I finally managed to get the boss out of the apartment and into the hallway, and pulled my friend into the apartment. Told her I understood she needs to talk stuff out with her roommate and I'd see her tomorrow (today). Lordy I'm such a gentleman.

Oh, and when I left, my boss was still chattin it up with some dude in the hallway of the building acting like he was just waiting for my friend to come out and invite him back in. What a shitbag.

 

does he have higher-ups? You could tell the head-honcho he was harassing you and your lady-friend

 

FWIW, you handled it well IMO.
I can see how a drunk boss would get that "impression". But it still doesn't justify his behavior in the slightest.

 

Is he a good guy at work? Or is he a bit off in the head all the time?

 

He's usually a good guy but I have heard stories of him acting rather stupid while drunk. I'm sure if I talk to him and he apologizes to my friend that should be fine enough.
