protected wmv files

Default protected wmv files

Do you know anything about removing the proctected content wmv video files? My friend has these files that he downloaded but they have MS digital right manager on it. and without being properly registered with the company, he can’t play the file.

yeah, um, that's the whole reason they put the protection on it.

that said, there's a program that worked on the older version of the protection, but not the newer version.

I have been trying to code a proggy to do this myself for a little while now with no luck. My only suggestion at the present time would be too convert them to another file type on your friends computer and then transfer them to yours.

that would be a pretty good idea...only problem is that he doesnt have the license to view them in the first place
