Grrrr @ EMI
GRRRRRR so i just spent like 4 hours installing my new fronts and finally using all 4 channels of my amp... i get it all hooked up and working to perfection!.... until i turned my car on
i get some really wierd ass EMI that goes in tune with my engine if i rev it but if i turn volume to 0 it doesn't do it.
this would be EMI i am assuming? i have all wires (RCA and speaker wires to and from amp) running down the right side but i have to have the front left running up the left side of the car. but also the interfence noise is only in the back if i move it to all front i don't get it.
why am i stupid?!?!

well my deck is ghetto shit only has RCA outs for subs. so i left the rear wires in place and ran new front wires back to my amp along the right side with my RCA wires. So there is a total of 3 sets of wires and 1 set of rca on the right and 1 set of wires running down the left with 2 0 guage power wires..
i think it might be a loose connection possibly though? if that could do it.. i'd figure if it was EMI it'd be hitting the front speakers not the rear...

And there would be part of your problem

Actually I would guess its because you are trying to overwork the amp and the ground may not be sufficient for tha amount of power you are trying to draw from it. In this case it will cause an EMI signal or possibly alternator whine depending on where the ground is located.
