yea berkeley is uhhh...out there....but thats cool, i know a few people that go to SJ state. good school.
if hes gonna giv up now, imagine how he will feel in bezerkley? berkerley's academics is incredibly competitive, considering thrs hella smart azns thr. but what you should do is, finish junior college and transfer into something less academic but something that you like...therefore you will not burn out easily.
(all this is coming from a 12th grader...)

You should have already heard from UCSB... i didnt get accepted. 3.75 GPA too :dunno: You wont get accepted to UCSB with a 3.01... sorry to break it to you, but unless your a minority, its not gonna happen
[edit: as a freshman]
oh well, Santa Barbara community college here we come
I already sent in my deposit for Fontainebleu, smack in the middle of Isla Vista
Cant wait, i love it down there in SB. We should meet up sometime next semester. If your still planning on going to SB, apply for Fontainebleu [google it], its the only dorm/meal type package left [tropicana is full]. 2 of my friends and I just applied for a main suite last week, so you could potentially end up in the same room [room is composed of large double, double and a single - 5 people]

for sure
It sucks though, i am throwing away so much hard work in HS... and going to a community college. I got accepted to numerous other UC's and CSU's.. but, i really love Santa Barbara.
In fact, my parents are willing to fully fund me through any CSU and two years of graduate school, but i'd have to go to San Jose / SF state for the next 4 years... [**** that]. Only bad thing about the SB situation is that my dad dosnt want to fund me to go have a good time and go to a community college when i could be getting a better education elsewhere, so i have to sell my car, and possibly take out a loan
