Default Post Operative PRK - Left eye just got done

About 30 minutes ago my left eye was zapped with the laser.

I'm off to go eat - take percocets, and take some ambien (sleep med)

with PRK the vision isn't good for at least a week or two

last week i had my right eye done, and i see about 20/30 right now - it will get better in the upcoming days.

for 2-5 days vision is very blurry, and hazy. I had some double vision and starburst effects around lights... its all dimishing slowly.

I'm hoping that by this time next month, I should be seeing 20/20 or 20/15

sucks that lasik isn't approved by the military, then you wouldn't have to deal with all this recovery time.

:bs:

they do it at Walter Reed on an outpatient basis if you qualify, but you have to be stationed in the DC metro area and have 3 years of retainability.

edit: ORK is the dark ages man... with LASIK now they can gurantee your vision to be 20/20 or better and it just feels like you've been in the sun too long

It's not about the quality of the results...it's about the flap that's made on your cornea after LASIK coming lose under high Gs...like the ones encountered when flying a jet.
