My friend said to reinstall windows in a different directory....I did....it wrote over everything in my docs.....which is where I put all my stuff. I guess I didn't accidentally reformat....but I accidentally wrote over everything important....so then I reformatted it after that.

....I'm stuck in a computer class for 4 hours....hence rambling about absolutely nothing h:

if you just reinstalled without formatting, there's a very very good chance that you didn't lose the files. but since you reformatted after that, that chance is gone.

the tech support guy sucked... haha

there is software out there that will recover lost files like that... you may even be able to find some/most of your documents., unless you did a low level reformat - which I doubt

yeah, this is a pretty good company though (ABS - like alienware), and I've been talking to this support guy for about a month about the problems...he seemed to know what he was talking about. Ahh well.....clean slate.
